Well, I have to say, out of the three X-men movies, I thought the second is the best one.
I have to admit, I was a little dissapointed about this blockbuster movie for the following reasons:
1. I love Huge Jackman but I also love "Scott." I was very dissapointed that Scott was died after five minutes (or less) into the movie! He play such a crutial rule in the first two movies and I just thought he would too in this one. In which I think it will make more sense in character development. If he had died later, I think it would make it more interesting. However, if Scott didn't die, maybe the reappearing of Jean won't be so "dramatic" in the sense.
2. Mistique. She plays a very essential rule in the first two movies. Although she kind of dissapeared half way through and become a human, but it was kind of a drop out of it. Because I thought she would have done more "damage" as of who she is.
3. Rouge ( I don't know if I spell the name right) just...I don't know. She is always struggling with her powers and all of a sudden she just become normal. I don't know, the development of the character is just..not there....and maybe a little more us of her would be nice.
4. Jean. I mean, yes she the phonix. But what did she do beside blowing up people? I thought she can be more evil than she was in the movie. I thought the dilemma was not "obvious" enough.
5. Xanvier. I seriously thought in this movie, since the director showed in the beginning that he was standing, I thought he would kind of explain why he ended up in the wheelchair. And I seriously thought the incidence has somewhat make those two good friends split sides against each other. But the movie didn't mention anything about it.
6. The "wing man." Well, I see him all the time in the commercial and I really thought he was going to be a bigger part in the movie. But he wasn't. He only did two things: stand again getting the injection and save his father. I can see the irony here but I thought maybe a bit more dramatic would be better? Maybe become a part of the X-men and become active in protecting all the innocents...something like that
Well, regardless of the above points, I still enjoy the movie. It is all about Huge Jackman. I would want to see it again. Although one thing very unreasonable point I have to point out is, when he walked toward Jean in the end, his clothes and upper body was getting "dissoved." But you know, he pants was still intact!! I was hoping that it was some what come off...at lest some piece and bits...but no...so..you know....(that is a dissapointment too~~ hee hee)
